In order to answer frequently asked questions that I get from clients, I've decided to start Wedding 101 posts. These installments will cover different aspects of the wedding day, including: products/vendors, tips & tricks and loads of other information which might help you better plan and organize your day.
Although I am no wedding planner, I have experienced many weddings and picked up tons of great information along the way.
Please comment below or send me an email if you have questions or concerns that you'd like to have addressed in a following Wedding 101.

To start off these posts, I'll be discussing floral arrangements. I find flowers to be a very important detail of a wedding day. They can compliment your colour scheme and they definitely help complete your whole attire wether it be bouquet, boutonniere or even the table arrangement or centrepieces. Keep in mind that it might seem best to choose a florist based solely on price, you should take into account their reputation, quality and style. Don't cheap out on such an important detail of your wedding day, your guests will notice a difference and you will end up disappointed. Ask around. Ask your photographer, friends or colleagues if they have recommendations.

Some things to consider when choosing your arrangements: Colours scheme, season, style/theme. Also consider the overall durability of the bouquets and boutonnieres. It's worth mentioning the amount of arrangements that are wilted or fall apart half way through the day.

Some of you may think that flowers are one of the simpler details of a wedding day but florists are also artists and a lot of thought and consideration goes into every arrangement. For instance, wild vs. cultivated flowers, cascade vs. posy style are just a few things that you should look into.

I've only scratched the surface when it comes to choosing your flowers and florist, but hopefully this will have inspired some of you to pay a little more attention to what may be one of the most overlooked yet important details of ones big day!
