Boudoir seems like such a taboo form of photography...even I had second thoughts whether I should be mentioning it on my blog like this. But in light of all the great feedback I have been receiving from my clients following their boudoir sessions, I figured it was the right time for me to express exactly how I feel about it all.
Boudoir is not only about capturing physical beauty but even more so the inner beauty that lies within. After photographing so many women, I have come to the realization that every one is absolutely gorgeous in their own unique way. I see this in their laugh, in the twinkle of their eyes, even in the way they brush the hair away from their face...
My boudoir sessions are meant to capture who you are as a person in a classy, romantic, and fun manner. Although some people are reluctant and nervous at first, invariably a few moments into the shoot their worries are soothed and they are laughing along with me.
I feel a sense of accomplishment each time my clients leave their session with that extra bounce in their step, feeling empowered and beautiful.

I cannot agree more Melissa! I've done a couple boudoir shoots so far and love the satisfaction I get from making these women feel beautiful! Everyone really is beautiful in their own way and every woman should realise & feel that way (as least once in awhile!). I think at first all women are reluctant to let a photographer view that private portion of their life but once they have the experience, they truly feel beautiful and have a higher sense of confidence. Thank you for this post and hopefully encouraging more women to do this type of shoot!

You make EVERY single person that you shoot feel comfortable and confident which allows them to show their inner spirit that you capture with your artist's eye.
